News Release: Omega Adding Experience and Leadership as the Company Growth Continues

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, April 9, 2015 – Omega Plastics LLC, a leading producer of custom thermoplastic extruded products headquartered in northeastern Tennessee, announced today the appointment of Scott Gardner to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Mr. Gardner graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining Omega, Scott held a variety of leadership positions within the optical fiber and optical fiber cable division of Alcatel. His increasing responsibilities included process engineering, operations management, quality, business develop and sales & marketing. In 2005 Scott returned to Knoxville to join Dura-Line Corporation as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, with responsibility for both commercial and sales operations. In his capacity he oversaw rapid growth at Dura-Line, both through existing channels and acquisitions.

Since 1978, Omega Plastics, LLC has been manufacturing made-to-order solutions with thermoplastic extrusion and a proprietary random loop vinyl mesh sheet used for mats, product protection and other applications. In October of 2014 the company acquired Vinylex Corporation, another industry leader in the field of custom profile extrusion for over 65 years. With locations in both Knoxville, TN and Carrollton, TX, Omega Plastics is strategically positioned to service a large geographical market, as well as customers with multiple manufacturing locations.
